PROGRAMMES ORGANIZED

“College Bazaar”

The  Cenre For Entreneurship and Rural Development  ( CERD ) and  Mahalir  Thittam  Theni  district  jointly  organized  “ College Bazaar “ to extend support and help to the Self Help Groups (SHGS)  in Theni District on 27th and 28th of August 2012 .

The Programme was inaugurated by Hajee. M. Dharvesh Mohideen, B.Sc.,Secretary & Correspondent, H.K.R.H  College, Uthamapalyam, in the presence of  Hajee. M. Sheik Mohideen, President, H.K.R.H. College, Uthamapalyam, Hajee. Dr. H. Mohamed Meeran , principal, H.K.R.H. College, Uthamapalayam  and Mr.S. Dharmasivam,  Project Officer , Mahalir Thittam, Theni. More than 25 Self Help Groups were put their Stalls. Our students both men and women , Teaching staffs , Non Teaching staffs extend their full support and encouragement by purchasing commodities.

By the Success of College Bazaar in 2012, again in the year 2015, Hajee Karutha Rowther Howdia College, Centre For Entrepreneurship And Rural Development  ( CERD ) and  Mahalir  Thittam, Tamilnadu Corporation For Development  for Women , District collectorate, Theni,   have jointly organized a three day Self Help Group Sales Exhibition   in the “College Bazaar” from 5 – 10 – 2015 to  7 – 10 – 2015 .

The  “College Bazaar” was inaugurated by Hajee. M. Sheik Mohideen, President, H.K.R.H. College, Uthamapalyam, in  the  presence of Hajee. M. Dharvesh Mohideen, B.Sc.,Secretary & Correspondent, H.K.R.H college, Uthamapalyam,  managing committee members,  Hajee. Dr. H. Mohamed Meeran, principal, H.K.R.H. College, teaching and Non teaching staff members and students.

 Our College NSS Volunteers assisted SHGS members to arrange stalls . Around 40 stall were arranged by SHGS of Theni district.

Thiru. Venkatachalam, IAS, District collector , Theni,  visited the sales exhibition  in the second day and encouraged the SHGS members and had a discussion with students. People from Uthamapalayam Town visited and enthusiastically purchased at the “College Bazaar” supported by SHGS Members.

 

“Traditional Food Festival   2018”

Centre For Entrepreneurship  And  Rural  Development & Consumer Club, Health & Fitness club jointly organized “Traditional Food Festival on 27th February 2018’’ to make awareness on healthy traditional food among  students  and staffs. The motto of festival is

“Eat Healthy Be Healthy” The aim of this  festival is to encourage entrepreneurship, and  to promote awareness on healthy and traditional food . The Festival was inauguarated by Hajee. M. Dharvesh Mohideen, B.Sc.,Secretary & correspondent, H.K.R.H  College,Uthamapalyam, in the presence of  Hajee. M. Sheik Mohideen, President, H.K.R.H. College, Uthamapalyam, Managing Committee Members, Hajee. Dr. H. Mohamed Meeran , principal, H.K.R.H. College, Staffs and students.

Both men and  women students prepared  varieties of delicious traditional foods and put up their Stalls for Sale. Street  food Vendors from Uthamapalayam  town additionally took part with interest and  made their sales of different nutritious traditional food to our staffs and Students.

 

COURSE CONDUCTED

“Certificate course in Tailoring  2016 – 2017”

Our  college Centre For Entrepreneurship And Rural Development  ( CERD ) planned and started certificate course in tailoring in the year 2016 – 2017 for women student  to empower them in a  Entrepreneur skills. This course has been conducted through well qualified full time tutor Mrs . R. Sivakami. The centre initiates teaching and training to the interested students during their leisure hours. In the year 2016 – 17, 26 students were enrolled and 22  students have  completed the course. They have  issued certificates based on written and practical evaluation.

Again in the year 2017 – 2018, 25 students were enrolled and 19 students have completed the course Successfully.

   

“Certificate course in Food Processing  2017 – 2018”

Cenre For Entreneurship And Rural Development  ( CERD ) framed another Entrepreneurship Certificate  Course on Food Processing to the interested students. Under the leadership of a qualified tutor Mrs.M. Farzana begum, B.Tech Food Technology to inculcate entrepreneurial skills in food industry. 30 Hour  classes were Conducted. 24 students were enrolled and 18 were completed the course successfully.

 

“Certificate course in E – Services  2017 – 2018”

Centre For Entrepreneurship  And  Rural  Development is directing another course on E – services for men Students to be independently– Employed. This course gives practical Knowledge on  E – services such as online ticket booking , online  fresh and  renewal of  passport , Adhaar updation and internet Banking.

The course has been planned in view of conducting 30 hour classes [ 10 hours Theory  & 20 hours practical ] with prescibed syllabus .The  classes will be active from 4.15 PM to 5. 30 PM .  The instructor of this course is Professor  Mr.   Sheik Mohideen, Department of Information Technology H.K.R.H. College, Uthamapalayam. In the year 2017 – 2018,  22  students were enrolled and 18 students have successfully completed the course.
